In principle and practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability.
Membership in AAUW is open to every person who holds an associate or higher degree from an accredited college or university in the United States, or who holds a degree from a foreign institution recognized by the International Federation of University Women.
Presentation of proper academic credentials and payment of annual dues are the sole requirements for membership in the Santa Barbara – Goleta Valley Branch of AAUW. We welcome new members at any time. Annual dues include membership in the national organization, the state, and the branch. Lifetime memberships at the national level are also available.

How to Join
New members, please download and complete our Membership Application. The completed form and payment can be mailed to our Treasurer, Anita Sturm at that address noted on the form.
Renew your membership
To pay your dues by mail, please download and complete our Membership Application.
To pay online with credit card, visit our National website using your Member Login: click here. Select “Renew Now” under “For Returning Branch Members.” If you have never logged in, you will need to register and follow these instructions:
- Scroll below the blue login button and click Forgot Password at the bottom.
- Enter your email address, then click Reset Your Password to receive your login email. Note: If you do not receive the email, contact connect@aauw.org for help.
- Once the email arrives, enter your email address and Create and Confirm your Password and access your Personal Snapshot.
- Within your Personal Snapshot, click the blue RENEW button at the bottom to renew your national, add your branch [BRANCH CODE/NAME] and state memberships!
